The NAD C 658 is a BluOS streaming DAC and digital preamplifier that serves as the intelligent heart of a modern hi fi system. It brings together a high resolution network streamer, an ESS Sabre converter and a fully digital preamplifier, all managed through the intuitive BluOS app for multiroom playback and access to the major streaming services.
Connectivity is generous, with moving magnet phono, line, optical and coaxial inputs alongside Gigabit Ethernet, dual band Wi Fi and two way aptX HD Bluetooth. Balanced and single ended preamp outputs, a subwoofer output and a headphone stage round out the analog side, while a pair of MDC expansion slots keep the platform ready for future upgrades.
A standout feature is the included Dirac Live room correction with calibration microphone, which tailors the sound to the listening space for cleaner bass and sharper imaging. The result is a versatile, upgradeable source that keeps a system current for years to come.
