Eversolo DMP-A8 Network Streamer, DAC and Preamplifier (Used)

The DMP-A8 sits near the top of Eversolo's lineup, combining a high-resolution network streamer, reference-grade DAC, and fully balanced preamplifier into a single CNC-machined aviation-grade aluminum chassis. Building on the foundation of the DMP-A6 Master Edition, it brings a significant leap in DAC architecture, power supply design, and analog output capability.

At the heart of the digital section is a hybrid AKM implementation pairing the AK4191EQ delta-sigma modulator with the AK4499EX analog conversion stage in a dual-chip configuration, effectively separating digital and analog processing to minimize noise contamination between stages. Dual Accusilicon femtosecond precision clocks at 45.1584MHz and 49.152MHz handle jitter suppression across both 44.1kHz and 48kHz multiplied sampling rate families, keeping transient sharpness and spatial accuracy tight at all sample rates. The result is a measured THD+N of -120dB and a signal-to-noise ratio and dynamic range of 128dB. PCM up to 32-bit/768kHz and native DSD512 are fully supported, alongside complete MQA decoding.

The fully balanced preamplifier section uses OPA1612 op-amps and outputs via both balanced XLR at 4.2V and unbalanced RCA at 2.1V, making it suitable for direct connection to a power amplifier or active speakers. A third-generation XMOS XU316 audio processor handles USB audio, and a built-in M.2 NVMe SSD slot supports local storage up to 4TB. Streaming platform support includes Roon Ready, Tidal Connect, Spotify Connect, AirPlay, and DLNA, with native apps for Qobuz, Amazon Music, Deezer, and Apple Music also on board. The large 6-inch HD touchscreen provides an intuitive and responsive interface for library browsing, playback control, DSP settings, and real-time VU meter and spectrum displays. Connectivity is extensive, with two coaxial and two optical digital inputs, USB-B, balanced XLR and RCA analog inputs, HDMI I2S output, dual USB 3.0 ports, Bluetooth 5.0 with aptX HD, and a 12V trigger output for system integration.
