Description

The Eversolo DMP-A8 is an all in one high fidelity music streamer, DAC, and fully balanced analog preamplifier. Its digital section pairs an XMOS XU316 audio processor with a flagship AKM chipset, the AK4191EQ modulator and AK4499EX converter, to decode audio up to native DSD512 and PCM 768kHz/32-bit. A large 6 inch LCD color touchscreen provides album art, virtual VU meters, a spectrum display, and full on device control, complemented by a dedicated app for Android and iOS.

Connectivity is extensive. Digital inputs include two coaxial, two optical, one USB-B, and one HDMI ARC, along with Bluetooth 5.0 with aptX HD and LDAC. Digital outputs cover coaxial, optical, HDMI I2S, and USB audio for pairing with an external DAC. Analog connections use balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA for both the preamp input and the pre-outputs, with a 12V trigger to synchronize a power amplifier. Networking includes dual-band Wi-Fi and gigabit Ethernet.

As a preamplifier it uses a fully balanced circuit with an R2R analog volume control network and up to 10dB of analog gain for low noise, precise level control. Streaming support is broad, with Roon Ready certification plus built in Tidal, Qobuz, HighResAudio, Deezer, and Amazon Music, and additional support for Tidal Connect, Spotify Connect, AirPlay, DLNA, and UPnP. The CNC machined aluminum chassis measures 388 by 90 by 248 mm, weighs about 5 kg, and is available in black or silver.
