The 7000A sits at the heart of Audiolab's lineup, bridging the gap between the popular 6000A and the flagship 9000A, and bringing a genuinely impressive feature set to a competitive price point. The discrete Class AB power amplifier section delivers 70 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 110 watts into 4 ohms, built around a Complementary Feedback (CFB) topology for superior linearity and thermal stability, powered by a 250VA toroidal transformer and 60,000μF of total reservoir capacitance.
The onboard DAC is an ESS ES9038Q2M running Audiolab's 32-bit HyperStream architecture with Time Domain Jitter Eliminator, supporting PCM up to 768kHz via USB and full MQA decoding — including the complete three-stage unfold — making it well suited for Tidal Masters streaming. A built-in MM phono stage with precise RIAA equalization, a dedicated current-feedback headphone amplifier, and HDMI ARC connectivity for TV integration round out an exceptionally versatile input selection that also includes dual RCA analog inputs, dual coaxial and optical digital inputs, Bluetooth 5.0 with aptX, and USB-B for direct computer connection. The pre/power amp sections can be used independently via the front panel Mode selector, and the vivid 2.8-inch full-color IPS LCD display — complete with optional VU meter visualization — makes navigation and source selection intuitive at a glance. The unit is also Roon Tested certified.
