The Luxman E-07 is a dedicated phono equalizer built for serious vinyl playback, using a non-feedback RIAA equalizer circuit with a four-parallel FET first stage in an unbalanced configuration. It supports both moving magnet and moving coil cartridges, offering 38dB of gain for MM, 57dB for high-output MC, and 66dB for low-output MC, so it can partner with almost any cartridge without an external step-up transformer.
Flexibility is a defining feature of the E-07. A front-panel six-position rotary selector sets MC load impedance from 4.7 ohms up to 1k ohms, while rear-panel switches handle MM load impedance and load capacitance, letting owners dial in an exact match for their cartridge. Rated total harmonic distortion is a low 0.003%, and frequency response holds within tight tolerances across the audible band.
Connectivity spans one balanced XLR input pair and two unbalanced RCA input pairs, with both balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA outputs for easy integration into balanced or single-ended systems. Housed in a substantial aluminum chassis with Luxman's blasted-white front panel, the E-07 is backed by a three-year warranty.
