The 6000CDT is the transport that launched Audiolab's modern CD revival and earned widespread critical acclaim as one of the finest value-for-money CD transports ever made. A dedicated CD transport with no built-in DAC, it passes a bit-perfect digital signal directly to an external DAC or amplifier via its coaxial or optical outputs, keeping the signal path as pure as possible.

The slot-loading mechanism is paired with a read-ahead digital buffer that dramatically reduces disc-reading failures, allowing the 6000CDT to play scratched and damaged discs that would defeat most conventional players. The coaxial output is driven by a differential line driver, and the master clock is a high-accuracy crystal oscillator that keeps jitter at vanishingly low levels across both coaxial and optical outputs. The transport mechanism sits in its own electromagnetically shielded enclosure with a dedicated power supply, and the sturdy aluminum chassis works to absorb and isolate the vibrations generated by the high-spin-velocity motor. The compact, minimalist front panel features a small display and straightforward controls, with a remote control included.
