The TEAC AD-850 puts a CD player and a cassette deck in one full width chassis, with USB recording and playback alongside them. The CD section handles CD, CD-R and CD-RW discs including MP3 discs, and the cassette section records and plays normal and chrome tapes. Because both transports and the USB port share the same box, it will dub a CD straight to tape or to a USB drive, and copy a tape across to USB, with nothing else in the chain.

A microphone input sits on the front for recording and sing-along use, pitch control trims playback speed on the cassette side by up to 10 percent, and a stereo RCA line output feeds any amplifier or receiver. This is the silver finish.
