Description

The Amphion Argon 3LX is a slim floorstanding loudspeaker that brings the Argon 3 driver set into a taller, passive radiator loaded cabinet. Handmade in Finland, it uses a 1 inch titanium tweeter in Amphion's 5th generation U/D/D waveguide together with a 6.5 inch aluminum woofer and a revised crossover network for improved driver integration and long term reliability.

Because the bass is handled by a passive radiator rather than a vent, and because the U/D/D waveguide keeps dispersion controlled, the 3LX performs well even in smaller rooms or close to walls. Bass extends to 30 Hz within a 6 dB window, and the low 1,600 Hz crossover keeps the midrange the work of a single driver for clarity and coherence.

With 85 dB sensitivity and an 8 ohm nominal load, the Argon 3LX pairs comfortably with amplifiers from 50 to 250 watts. It ships on a base plate for stability, is offered in Standard White, Full White, Black, and Walnut, and is covered by Amphion's five year warranty.
