TEAC Audio AD‑850‑SE

Combine cassette recording, CD playback and USB archiving in one versatile unit — the AD-850-SE delivers analog and digital convenience in a compact audio component.

Product Description

The TEAC Audio AD-850-SE is a hybrid cassette deck/CD player designed for users who still engage with analog tapes while also needing modern digital connectivity. The cassette section supports recording and playback on normal and chrome tapes (metal playback only), offers pitch control (±10 %) for playback, and features USB recording to flash drives—letting you archive your tapes easily.

Its CD player uses a 3-beam semiconductor laser and an 8× oversampling digital filter, providing a frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz (±2 dB) and total harmonic distortion of 0.02% or less at 1 kHz.

The unit also features USB playback (MP3 format), microphone input with echo effect (for karaoke or announcements), and line-in/line-out RCA connections for flexible system integration.

With this AD-850-SE, you’ll get analog tape support (both playback and recording to USB), conventional CD playback, and a bridge into digital storage—all in one component. It’s ideal for those preserving a tape library while still using modern sources.
