JBL L100 Classic 75th Anniversary Edition Speakers (Serial 000)

The JBL L100 Classic 75 is the 75th anniversary edition of the speaker that started the whole L100 story, built as a three way bookshelf pair on its own floor stands. It pairs a 12 inch cast frame pure pulp cone woofer in a front ported bass reflex cabinet with a 5.25 inch polymer coated pure pulp midrange and a 1 inch titanium dome tweeter on an acoustic lens waveguide, crossed over at 450 Hz and 3.5 kHz. Sensitivity is 90 dB into a 4 ohm load and JBL rates it for 25 to 200 watts. Front panel L-pad attenuators let you adjust the midrange and treble to the room. The anniversary edition is finished in teak veneer behind the Quadrex foam grille and was limited to 750 pairs worldwide.

What makes this pair different from the other 750 is the serial number: 000. These are the not for sale demonstration units JBL built for its own use, the pair pictured on JBL's own website. They were never allocated to a dealer and never sold at retail, which makes them the only set of L100 Classic 75s that will ever carry that number.
