MoFi Studio Phono (USED)

The MoFi StudioPhono is a versatile, fully discrete phono preamplifier designed to accommodate both moving magnet and moving coil cartridges. Finished in black, it provides selectable gain settings of 40dB for MM and 60dB for MC, with user-adjustable loading via internal DIP switches — allowing precise matching to a wide range of cartridge types and output levels. RIAA equalization is implemented with a high degree of accuracy, contributing to a flat, faithful tonal response across the frequency band.

The circuit is built around a fully discrete, DC-coupled signal path, avoiding the coloration and bandwidth limitations associated with op-amp-based designs. Signal-to-noise ratio is rated at better than 80dB (MM) and 70dB (MC), and total harmonic distortion is kept vanishingly low. The StudioPhono accepts standard RCA inputs and outputs, with a ground terminal provided for proper turntable grounding.

Powered by the included power cable, the unit draws from an external power supply topology designed to keep noise well away from the sensitive phono signal path. Its compact, solidly built chassis is equally suited to a dedicated analog front end or integration into a broader audio system.
