The 6000A is one of Audiolab's most celebrated and awarded integrated amplifiers, designed by Jan Ertner — the same engineer behind the 8300A — and widely recognized as one of the finest values in its class. The discrete Class AB power amplifier delivers 50 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 75 watts into 4 ohms, built around a Complementary Feedback (CFB) topology for excellent linearity and thermal stability, backed by a 200VA toroidal transformer and 60,000μF of total reservoir capacitance.

The onboard DAC uses the ESS ES9018 Sabre32 Reference chip with 32-bit HyperStream architecture and Time Domain Jitter Eliminator, supporting up to 24-bit/192kHz across its four S/PDIF inputs — two coaxial and two optical. Three analog RCA line inputs and a dedicated JFET-based MM phono stage with precise RIAA equalization round out the source connectivity, alongside aptX Bluetooth for wireless streaming. A dedicated current-feedback headphone amplifier with a notably low 2.3-ohm output impedance handles the front-panel headphone output. Three operational modes — Integrated, Pre, and Power — allow the pre and power sections to be used independently, providing genuine system flexibility and a built-in upgrade path. A central OLED display and intuitive rotary controls complete a clean, understated design available in silver.
