The Peachtree nova300 is the one that put real power behind the Peachtree idea of a single box that runs a whole system. ICEpower amplification gives it 300 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 450 into 4, which is enough to drive speakers most integrated amplifiers of its size would struggle with, and it is rated down to a 2.5 ohm load. Inside the same chassis sits an ESS Reference ES9018K2M Sabre32 DAC handling PCM to 32 bit and 384 kHz and DSD to 5.6 MHz, a moving magnet phono stage, and a discrete headphone amplifier with a 1 ohm output impedance, so it holds its grip on low impedance headphones.
Connectivity is the other half of the story. There is asynchronous USB, coaxial and two optical inputs, plus an asynchronous iOS input that takes a digital feed straight off an Apple Lightning device using Peachtree's DyNEC noise elimination circuit. A home theater bypass lets it sit inside a surround system without fighting the processor for volume, a pre out lets you run it as a preamplifier and DAC or add a subwoofer, and a processor loop lets you insert an outboard tube buffer or equalizer.
Worth knowing if you remember the earlier Peachtree novas: the nova300 is fully solid state. The lit tube behind the front window that the older models were known for is not part of this one. Peachtree's answer was the processor loop, which lets you add an external tube buffer if that is the sound you are after.
