Overview
The UberLight Frame is a task light built for the one job a ceiling fixture is worst at, which is putting clean, glare free light on the platter at the moment you lower the stylus. A slim LED bar sits at the top of a cast iron frame and throws up to 600 lumens straight down, so the lead in groove, the track gaps and the label all read clearly from a normal listening chair. Color rendering is CRI 90 plus, which means jacket art and label colors look the way they do in daylight rather than the yellow cast you get from a lamp across the room.
Everything about it is adjustable. The head swivels a full 360 degrees and tilts up to 30 degrees, so you can aim light at the platter, across a shelf of records, or back at the rack when you are swapping cables behind a component. A touch panel on the upright controls power, brightness, color temperature and the flashlight, and a rechargeable remote with its own LED flashlight does the same from your seat. Reliable rates the combination at over one hundred settings and the LEDs at up to 50,000 hours, which at a few hours a night is measured in decades rather than years.
It is built like audio gear rather than office equipment. The cast iron construction keeps the base planted so a knock against the arm does not send it into your turntable, and a single 6 ft USB Type-C cord with a universal plug is the only thing running to it, so there is no wall wart competing for space on your conditioner. At 17.2 inches tall it clears a dust cover on most decks and tucks beside a rack without crowding it.

Turntables It Works With
Any record player benefits from light you can aim, but it earns its keep fastest on a deck you cue by hand. These are turntables we carry that pair naturally with it.
Thorens TD 1500
A manual belt drive deck with a classic Thorens arm, cued entirely by hand, which is exactly where a light that drops a clean beam on the lead in groove pays for itself.
MoFi Electronics UltraDeck
An open plinth design with no dust cover in the way, so the Frame can sit beside it and light the platter without reflecting off acrylic.
Dual CS 618Q
A semi automatic deck where you still place the arm yourself. Aim the head down at the platter and leave the warm color temperature on for evening listening.
Audio-Technica AT-LP8X
A manual belt drive turntable that is often someone's first serious deck, and the one where cueing by eye takes the most practice.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Uberlight Frame?
It is an LED task light designed for listening rooms and desks. A slim light bar sits at the top of a cast iron frame and casts up to 600 lumens of glare free light downward, which makes it easy to see the lead in groove, track gaps and label of a record while you cue it.
How bright is it?
Up to 600 lumens at its highest setting, and it dims well below that. Brightness is adjustable from the touch panel on the upright or from the remote.
What is CRI 90 plus and why does it matter?
CRI stands for color rendering index, a measure of how accurately a light source shows color compared to daylight. At CRI 90 plus, record labels, jacket art and the color bands on cables look the way they should rather than washed out or yellowed.
Can I change the color of the light?
Yes. Color temperature is adjustable from the touch panel and the remote, so you can run a cooler, daylight style light while you work on the rack and a warmer one for evening listening.
How many settings does it really have?
Reliable rates the Frame at over one hundred customizable settings across its brightness and color temperature range, plus the aiming adjustment from the swivel and tilt.
How far does the head move?
The head swivels a full 360 degrees and tilts up to 30 degrees, so you can point it at the platter, along a shelf of records, or back toward the rear panels of your components.
Does it come with a remote?
Yes. A rechargeable remote is included and it has its own built in LED flashlight, which is useful when you are reaching behind a rack to find an input.
How is it powered?
Through a single 6 ft USB Type-C cord. The included plug is universal, rated 100 to 240 volts at 50 to 60 Hz, so it works on US power and travels without an adapter.
Does it need its own outlet on my conditioner?
It draws very little and runs from a USB Type-C supply, so most owners simply plug it into a free outlet rather than giving up a filtered one on a power conditioner.
Will the light bother my listening?
The beam is directed downward and shielded, so it lights the platter and not your eyes. Dropping the brightness and switching to the warmer color temperature keeps it unobtrusive during a record.
How tall is it, and will it clear my dust cover?
It measures 17.2 inches tall, 17.3 inches wide and 3.1 inches deep. That clears the raised dust cover on most turntables, though it is worth measuring if your deck sits on a low shelf.
Is it heavy enough to stay put?
The frame is cast iron, which is the point of the design. It stays planted next to a turntable instead of tipping if you brush it while cueing.
How long do the LEDs last?
They are rated for up to 50,000 hours. At three hours a night that is more than forty years of use.
Can I use it anywhere other than my listening room?
Yes. It was designed to work equally well on a desk, a workbench or a reading table, and plenty of owners buy a second one for an office.
What finishes does it come in?
White and black. The white is model 7100TL and the black is 7200TL.
Is it only for turntables?
No. It is just as useful over a rack when you are swapping cables, over a shelf while you read spines, or beside a chair while you read liner notes. Turntables are simply where the aimed light helps most.
Does it work with a record cleaning machine?
Yes, and it is a sensible use for it. Aimed light across a record surface shows up fingerprints and residue that overhead lighting hides.
What is the warranty?
Reliable covers the UberLight Frame under a limited one year warranty from the date of purchase, and pays shipping both ways on warranty repairs inside that first year when you have the original proof of purchase.
Can I see one before I buy?
Yes. Come by our showroom and we will set it up over a turntable so you can see the beam, the dimming range and the color temperatures for yourself.
Why buy from All Elite Audio?
We are an authorized dealer, so your product carries its full manufacturer warranty and we handle any claim for you directly with Reliable. We set up gear in our showroom, we answer the phone, and we help you get it dialed in after it arrives rather than disappearing once the box ships.
