The Luxman D-03X is a combined CD player and digital-to-analog converter that brings the performance of Luxman's digital source designs into a single chassis. It plays Red Book CDs along with CD-R, CD-RW, and MQA-CD discs, and its onboard DAC is built around two Texas Instruments PCM1795 chips operating in monaural mode for a true dual-mono conversion stage.

Beyond disc playback, the D-03X functions as a full-featured outboard DAC. Its USB input accepts PCM up to 384kHz/32-bit and DSD up to 11.2MHz with full MQA decoding, while coaxial and optical inputs handle PCM up to 192kHz/24-bit. A high-precision, low-jitter master clock and Bulk Pet USB transfer mode work to minimize noise and preserve signal accuracy from source to output.

Analog outputs include both unbalanced RCA and balanced XLR connections at 2.4 volts, allowing the D-03X to feed balanced or single-ended amplifiers with equal ease. It is a versatile digital hub for owners who still value physical media but also want a capable modern DAC, and it is backed by a three-year warranty.
