Luxman D-03X CD Player and DAC (Used)

A used Luxman D-03X in excellent, like-new condition. Please see pictures for condition details. Please note that no factory warranty applies. The D-03X is Luxman's entry-level CD player and DAC, hand-built in Yokohama, Japan, and bringing the brand's hallmark engineering philosophy and refined aesthetic to a more accessible price point. It is capable of playing CD, CD-R, and CD-RW discs, with a dedicated high-rigidity disc tray mechanism developed in-house for smooth, reliable operation and minimal mechanical noise.

Digital conversion is handled by a 32-bit/384kHz AKM AK4490 DAC with dual-differential balanced conversion — one DAC chip per channel — fed by a high-precision oscillator for low-jitter clocking across both 44.1kHz and 48kHz sampling rate families. The fully discrete analog output stage uses Luxman's LECUA electronically controlled attenuator, allowing the D-03X to be used as a variable-output source driving a power amplifier directly, with both balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA outputs available simultaneously. An optical digital output and a USB-B input for computer audio playback supporting PCM up to 32-bit/384kHz and DSD up to 11.2MHz via ASIO round out the digital connectivity. The internal power supply uses a custom-wound toroidal transformer with independent regulation for digital and analog circuits, and the chassis is extensively braced and damped to resist the vibrations produced by the spinning disc mechanism. A 12V trigger input and output allow integration into automated system setups.
