This combination, driven by a high-current 300-watt RMS Class D amplifier, produces deep, room-filling bass with a moderate attack and a low-frequency extension of -6dB @ 27 Hz. Housed in a sealed acoustic suspension cabinet with a stunning real walnut veneer, the Classic 98 is as much a visual masterpiece as it is a sonic one.

The Classic 98 features REL’s signature high-level Neutrik Speakon connection, which connects directly to your amplifier’s speaker outputs using the included cable. This innovative setup passes the same signal to your main speakers and the sub’s analog filters without drawing power from your amp, capturing your system’s tonal balance and timing cues. The result is bass that blends effortlessly with your speakers for a natural, cohesive soundstage.
Versatile Inputs and Controls
For broad compatibility, the Classic 98 includes mono RCA low-level and LFE/.1 inputs, making it ideal for both stereo and home theater systems.
