The Onkyo P‑80 is a high-end network preamplifier designed for audiophiles who want full streaming capabilities, excellent phono support, modern digital inputs, and premium analog output connectivity. It sits at the center of Onkyo’s Icon Series and is built to be paired with power amplifiers in a two-channel setup.

Key Features & Design:

• Class-leading DAC using the AK4452 chip, supporting up to 32‑bit / 768 kHz PCM decoding. 

• Built‑in phono stage with support for both Moving Magnet (MM) and Moving Coil (MC) cartridges. 

• Dirac Live Room Correction (Limited version, covering 20–500 Hz), with options to upgrade to full‑bandwidth correction, as well as additional Dirac features. 

• Onkyo’s proprietary DIDRC (Dynamic Intermodulation Distortion Reduction Circuitry) in both the DAC filter section and the phono stage, improving analog signal fidelity and reducing high frequency distortion. 

• Fan‑less design, 5 mm aluminum front panel, extrusion aluminum heat sink to suppress vibration and ensure stable heat dissipation.
