The Omnia is Audiolab's most comprehensive single-box music system, combining a CD player, integrated amplifier, network streamer, DAC, MM phono stage, headphone amplifier, and preamplifier into one elegantly curved brushed aluminum chassis. Its name is derived from the Latin for "everything" — and it largely lives up to that billing.
The built-in CD mechanism is based on Audiolab's acclaimed 6000CDT transport, enhanced with a read-ahead digital buffer to reduce disc-reading errors and enable playback of discs that would defeat conventional mechanisms. The Class AB power amplifier delivers 50 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 75 watts into 4 ohms, drawing on the same circuit topology as the well-regarded 6000A. An ESS ES9038Q2M 32-bit Sabre DAC handles all digital conversion using HyperStream II architecture and Time Domain Jitter Eliminator, with full MQA decoding including the complete three-stage unfold. The USB input supports PCM up to 32-bit/768kHz and DSD up to DSD512.
Streaming is handled by DTS Play-Fi over dual-band Wi-Fi or ethernet, supporting hi-res audio up to 24-bit/192kHz and multi-room playback, with Roon Tested certification also on board. Bluetooth aptX is available for wireless device connection. A dedicated current-feedback headphone amplifier, MM phono stage with precise RIAA equalization, three analog RCA line inputs, two coaxial and two optical digital inputs, and HDMI ARC round out an exceptionally versatile connectivity suite. The vivid 4.3-inch color IPS LCD display offers multiple viewing modes including an analog-style VU meter — a satisfying touch that sets the Omnia apart visually from its competitors.
