From the advertisement

While all manufacturers can offer $49 interconnect cables – it is all too unusual that we take our most modest products 100% as seriously as every other product we make. Their performance proves it.

We believe AudioQuest’s capabilities and credibility are best established by how much we can do for less. Of course, we hope they will whet the appetite for even higher-performance models later.

It is a useful frame when you are choosing a cable. The entry models are not a different company’s work rebadged, and they are not an afterthought. They are the same design thinking with fewer resources applied to it, which is exactly why stepping up the range tends to produce a consistent rather than an erratic change in character.
