VitOS is controlled through the Silent Angel Orbiter app and gives you access to major streaming services alongside local and networked library playback. Roon support is a common thread as well, ranging from Roon Ready endpoints to full Roon Core and Roon Server capability on the server models.
Just as important is a consistent upgrade philosophy. Several streamers accept an external DC input, which means you can start with the supplied power and later move to a Silent Angel Forester linear power supply. Because Silent Angel also builds Bonn audiophile network switches with TCXO clocks and linear LDO power, the source you buy today can be surrounded by a cleaner network tomorrow. Keep in mind that a switch, clock, or power supply makes no sound on its own. It improves the streamer or server it serves.

The Silent Angel Munich M1T V2 is a network music transport with no internal DAC. Its role is singular and focused: deliver a clean, isolated digital output to an external DAC you already love. It runs VitOS, is Roon Ready, supports attached and networked storage, and accepts an external DC input that can be upgraded with a linear supply. If your DAC is the heart of your system and you simply want the best signal feeding it, this is the most direct path.
Streamers with Onboard DAC: one box, analog out
If you want a streamer that connects straight to your amplifier, this group is for you.
The Silent Angel Bremen SL1 Plus is a network streamer with an onboard DAC. It offers line level RCA analog output plus coaxial and optical digital outputs, wired and wireless network options, and the same VitOS and Roon Ready experience. That flexibility makes it a natural centerpiece for a compact or second system, since you can use it as a complete source now and still tap the digital outputs later.
The Silent Angel Munich M1 takes the one box idea further by adding a dedicated headphone amplifier alongside its DAC and line level output. If personal listening matters to you as much as your main rig, the built in headphone stage lets the M1 serve double duty.
Looking ahead, the Silent Angel Bremen H1 is the newest streamer and DAC in the family, available for pre-order for October 2026. It introduces a 5.5 inch display in an aerospace grade matte aluminium frame, a dual ESS ES9039Q2M DAC, third generation XMOS XU316 audio interface, dual stage de-jitter, and four independent power domains. It supports PCM up to 32-bit 768 kHz and DSD256 over DoP, with a rated dynamic range and signal to noise ratio of 135 dB. For a listener who wants a modern all in one with an onboard display and a current generation DAC implementation, the H1 is the design to watch.
Music Servers and Players: the digital hub

The Silent Angel Munich MU V2 is a network music streamer and music server that acts as a digital source for an external DAC. It is Roon Ready and Roon Server capable, runs VitOS, and handles local network storage and streaming services. It is a tidy way to combine library management and playback into one unit while keeping your DAC of choice in the chain.
The Silent Angel Rhein Z1C V2 steps into dedicated server territory. It can run as a Roon Core, Roon Server, music server, and player, all in a fanless chassis with gigabit Ethernet and a digital output to your external DAC. Within the Rhein range, the Silent Angel Rhein Z1 Plus is the more capable sibling, a Roon Core capable server and network player with a fanless design that Silent Angel pairs naturally with an external DAC, a Bonn network switch, and a Forester linear power supply. Reference: the flagship server
The Silent Angel ZX is the reference music server and player, available for pre-order for October 2026. It is built around an 8-core Intel Core i5-12450H with real time DSP, an OCXO oven controlled master clock rated at plus or minus 0.05 ppm, and an AC linear power supply. It runs native Roon Server with DSP transcoding to DSD256 and can handle up to 10 concurrent lossless streams. Outputs include USB and I2S to DSD512 and PCM 768 kHz, plus coaxial, AES-EBU, and optical to 192 kHz 24-bit with DoP DSD64. Storage runs on dual NVMe SSD, 500 GB standard and expandable to 8 TB, with dual isolated network ports and a switchable common or floating grounding system. For a demanding multi room system or a listener who wants headroom for years, this is the top of the range.

You already own a DAC you love
Start with the Munich M1T V2. It exists purely to feed an external DAC with a clean isolated digital output, and it leaves your DAC decision untouched.
You want one box straight into your amplifier
Choose the Bremen SL1 Plus for a complete streamer with analog output plus digital outputs for future flexibility. If you also want a dedicated headphone amplifier, step to the Munich M1.
You want the newest all in one with a display and current generation DAC
Pre-order the Bremen H1 for its dual ES9039Q2M DAC, onboard 5.5 inch display, and four independent power domains.
You want Roon to run on Silent Angel hardware and feed your DAC

Complete the system
Whichever source you choose, remember that the network feeding it matters. A Silent Angel Bonn switch and a Forester linear power supply do not make sound on their own, but they can meaningfully improve the streamer or server they serve. Keep any additions appropriate to the tier of your source so the whole system stays balanced.
